Don’t wait until you leave school to find out what it’s like at Bishop Auckland College.
We would like to invite you to visit the College where our staff will advise you on the options available and help you to find a course to suit you. Wherever you are starting from, wherever you want to go, we have a course for you.
Working with Schools
The College works closely with local secondary schools. You can come to the College whilst still at school and gain a qualification. If you are interested in bricklaying, joinery, computer programming, car maintenance, multi-media design, childcare or catering, then we have something for you and you can get a qualification on the way. Ask at your school for information about the programmes you can do at the College.
Work Experience
Providing places are available, you can come to College to do your work experience. Work placements can include helping computing technicians, office work, catering, helping in the nursery and many more.
Taster Days
You can visit the College and experience what it’s like to be a student. There are loads of things you can do. You can choose to be in the hairdressing salon or motor vehicle workshop, the art & design centre or the music studio. Taster days give you the chance to find out whether you would like to study at College.
